Cyber security
The Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD) leads the cybersecurity function for the NT Government.
DCDD’s responsibilities span:
- security guidance and controls
- assessment and governance
- incident response
- national engagement.
The department:
- provides security guidance and implements controls for the NT Government
- coordinates the NT Government’s governance of cybersecurity planning and investment
- leads cybersecurity incident response across NT Government
- supports inter-government cybersecurity initiatives including those in the Digital Territory Strategy.
National collaboration
DCDD represents the NT Government on national cybersecurity forums and collaborates with Australian Government agencies, other jurisdictions and industry on cyber strategy, policy and practice.
DCDD support cybersecurity incident response under the Cyber Incident Management Arrangements for Australia, by:
- supporting cyber incident response actions and consequence management activities
- maintaining cybersecurity incident response plans in accordance with responsibilities under the Territory Emergency Plan
- representing the NT Government on national emergency management forums, committees and groups.
CyberNT
CyberNT engages with the community, business and industry sectors and education partners to:
- support cybersecurity awareness
- enhance capability and preparedness
- foster cybersecurity sector development.
