NT Fleet supporting communities through the Community Benefit Fund
Published: 26 Jun 2026
NT Fleet supported the Community Benefit Fund (CBF) vehicle gifting program by preparing and transferring an ex-government vehicle to Carpentaria Disability Services on 28 May 2026.
The CBF vehicle gifting program is funded through a levy on electronic gaming machines in licensed hotels. Through the program, eligible not-for-profit organisations can apply to receive ex-government vehicles to help deliver services and create better outcomes for Territorians.
Helping reach more people
The newly gifted vehicle will support Carpentaria Disability Services to expand its reach, improve access to care and create more opportunities for people living across the Northern Territory.
Carpentaria expressed its gratitude for receiving the vehicle, noting it will help the organisation continue delivering vital disability and therapy services to people in regional and remote communities.
Making the most of government assets
NT Fleet plays an important role in the program by preparing vehicles for transfer and ensuring they are ready for their new owners.
By giving government vehicles a second life, NT Fleet helps maximise the value of government assets while supporting organisations that make a positive difference in the community.
The CBF vehicle gifting program is one of the many ways government resources can continue to benefit Territorians long after their original service life.
