Event highlights for 2025
The 2025 Digital Futures event was held on 14 November 2025.
Guests connected with like-minded peers, mentors and professionals passionate about digital technologies and STEAM.
Activities and experiences included:
- The Intergalactic Starship - an immersive, hands-on experience where you will control a starship's propulsion and navigation systems using motion sensors and a heads-up display.
- Gaming and e-sports - engage in high-performance stations for gaming and e-sports.
- Learning stations - experience virtual reality and image recognition, music technology, 3D model sculpting and printing, and how practical applications of technology are shaping the world we live in.
Guest speakers included:
- Dr Paola Magni, world-renowned forensic scientist, and creator of award-winning technologies who brings science to life with energy and passion.
- Dylan Bennett, educator, entrepreneur, and video game developer who is passionate about turning gaming into learning and employable skills.
- Renee Wootton Tomlin, aerospace engineer, commercial pilot, and leader in sustainable aviation focused on harnessing technology for good.
