Digital Futures conference 2022
The 2022 Digital Futures events mirrored the popular 2021 event formats. Each event engaged females across the Territory to discuss their personal stories, hear business issues faced and network with other females interested in technology.
Three events were held:
- Confidence and resilience in Digital panel session held as part of International Women’s Day celebrations
- Webinar Paving the Digital Way with 5 keynote speakers and panel session Binary Birds
- Special keynote Ita Buttrose AC, OBE presented ‘Women in Business’ during October Business Month.
The highlight event being the webinar which lived-streamed across Australia. Viewers are still able to watch the presentation videos from our amazing keynote speakers.

The event facilitated discussions on how women working in digital, technical and ICT professions can build confidence and resilience in an ever-evolving tech landscape.
Each speaker drew on their own stories and experiences to formulate their answers and address how women in Digital can build confidence and resilience.
The event was reported as a great success, and the post even survey gave ratings of 8.25 out of 10 and commenting the quality as very good to inspiring.

Paving the Digital Way
Our exciting webinar was live streamed on Thursday 16 June 2022 from the Darwin Convention Centre.
Headphones were donned and speaker volumes adjusted to hear every word uttered. Our female digital legends shared their ideas, experiences, challenges and successes on how they brought their careers and technology to fruition.
Viewers were treated to a range of topics from STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics), to how 2 Territory girls ended up working at Google and, as Ally Watson highlighted in her presentation… ‘there are more men named Andrew running ASX 200 companies than women!’
We had Vanya Bosiocic and Bel Cook provide an update of what they are up to now.
If you weren’t able to tune in on the day, don’t worry, we’ve made the presentations into videos for you.
