2026 Digital Futures

The 2026 Digital Futures event will be held on Monday 14 September 2026.

This year's theme, Developing Your Future Mindset, encourages young people to explore careers in:

  • technology
  • innovation
  • emerging digital industries.

Attendees will take part in interactive activities designed to spark curiosity, build creativity and introduce the possibilities of a career in the digital sector.

Northern Lights Interactive Experience: Future Minds

Future Minds is an interactive program that helps students explore the future of work through creativity, problem-solving and discovery.

Students will take part in engaging challenges and immersive activities that build skills such as adaptability, critical thinking and innovation. They will also learn about future opportunities in technology, design, engineering and other digital industries.

The Array

The Array offers a range of hands-on digital experiences, including:

  • high-performance gaming and esports
  • music technology
  • 3D modelling and 3D printing
  • opportunities to meet NT game studios and digital industry professionals.

Charles Darwin University: Radical Centre

The Radical Exploration Room is located on the ground floor of Charles Darwin University's Education and Community Precinct in Darwin City (Danala).

The centre will be open to all Digital Futures attendees during the event.

Visitors can enjoy hands-on digital experiences in a welcoming and interactive environment.
